Rekha takes oath as Rajya Sabha MP
New Delhi, (ANI): Yesteryear beauty Rekha, who was nominated along with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took oath as Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha this morning. The Bollywood actress had to enter the Parliament from Gate 4 as fans in large numbers had assembled at Gate 12 to take a glimpse of newly nominated MP of the upper house. President Pratibha Patil had nominated Rekha and ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar along with two others to Rajya Sabha. The names were sent by the Prime Minister to the Home Ministry which forwarded them to the President for her approval.
