Dr. Swamy, article on Islamic terror, related article case

Crusader against corruption Dr. Subramanian Swamy has been questioned by Delhi Police in connection with a case lodged against him for writing that article in DNA about wiping out Islamic terror. Dr. Swamy was questioned at the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch Inter-state cell. Dr. Swamy has already been granted interim protection till January 30 by the Delhi High Court against his possible arrest. Dr. Swamy had to give an undertaking that he would not write such articles in the future.

Delhi Police had on October 3 registered a case of "spreading enmity between communities" under section 153A of IPC against Dr. Swamy for his remarks suggesting revoking of voting rights of those Muslims who refuse to get assimilated into Indian nationalism and refuse the fact that there ancestors were Hindus.

The move is largely seen as politically motivated as Dr. Swamy has given tough time to the corrupt UPA regime by ensuring its ministers go to Tihar. He's currently after Home Minister P Chidambaram, who controls the Delhi Police. Dr. Swamy's original article, which was removed by DNA from its site apparently due to political pressure.
