Supreme Court stays trial against IPS Sanjiv Bhatt
New Delhi, (ANI): The Supreme Court has stayed the trial of Gujarat IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt until 16 July. Bhatt is currently facing charges of pressurising his official driver to make a false statement in connection with the alleged inaction of the Narendra Modi government during the 2002 riots in the state. He was arrested on 30 September last year but was subsequently released on bail.
